NVIDIA is Still Making Video Cards

Jen-Hsun Huang presented the first production version of our new NVIDIA Titan X to Epic CEO Tim Sweeney at GDC Wednesday.

There has been a lot of new information come out of the GDC this past week, some of which is inevitably what new hardware developers will be able to work with. On the top of the list was NVIDIA’s Titan X, which promises some huge numbers like a 12GB frame buffer and 8 billion transistors (which itself doesn’t actually translate to anything concrete when it comes to performance.)

This announcement was, however, drowned out as most of GDC has been about the announcements of various technology platform releases to compete both in the VR and the console spaces.

The new hardware was debuted by NVIDIA co-founder Jen-Hsun Huang who swooped in as the self-proclaimed hero of GDC, proclaiming that he was apparently brought in to save a sagging information environment.
